Christmas gets an early start in Burbank

BURBANK -- Santa's taking the train this year.

On Wednesday, Metrolink will kick off its two-week, 34-city toy

collection drive in Burbank at 201 N. Front St. in Burbank. Residents are

encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy that will be given to indigent

children in Burbank.

The annual Holiday Toy Express tour will begin at 6 p.m. and will

feature the singing of the John Burroughs High School choir. The city's

antique 1913 fire engine will also be on display.

The Holiday Toy Express will make a second trip to Burbank Friday.
