Lori Tashjian, a graduated senior, was the leading scorer for Coach

Kenny Fisher's squad. Erin Kaneko, Nikki Marquez and Laura Prickett were

all key contributors for the Rebels.

Flintridge Sacred Heart struggled to a 3-17 overall record, 0-10 in

the Mission League underfirst-year Coach Stephanie Gray.

Megan Hankins, Cat Hugar and Danielle Turner all averaged more than

seven points a game for the Tologs.

BOYS' SOCCER

St. Francis enjoyed another successful season, posting an area-best

17-6-5 overall record, including 8-2-2 in the Mission League.

The Golden Knights lost to San Marino, 4-1, in the CIF Southern

Section Division IV playoffs, but that did not overshadow the performance

of then sophomore forward Ryan Shaw, who broke the single-season school

record by scoring 22 goals. Graduated senior Anthony Zoric was selected

to the all-league first team and all-CIF Division IV third-team roster

and led St. Francis with 18 assists.

All-league first team and all-CIF second team selection Mike Brewer

was the leader of Coach Glen Appels' defense and Andy Burghdorf was

another all-league selection at midfielder.

Raul Calderon, a member of the Olympic Development Program Regional

team, shined in his first varsity season as a freshman.

La Canada advanced to the CIF Southern Section quarterfinals for the

ninth time since 1987-88 under Coach Louie Bilowitz before falling to

Santa Ynez, 2-1, in Division IV competition.

The Spartans posted a 14-6-5 overall record and finished 4-3-3 in the

Rio Hondo League.

Chris Cuellar scored eight goals and tallied five assists and was

recognized as one of threemost valuable players in the league, in

addition to being selected to the all-CIF Division IV first team in his

final season.

Another graduated senior, Eric Henderson, recorded five goals and

seven assists and was selected all-league first team and all-CIF second

team.

Colin Barnes, Lonnie Dietz, Eric Irvine, Julio Reyes and George Swaner

all made quality contributions for Bilowitz, who finished his 12th season

at La Canada with a 216-28-31 overall record.

Goalies Chris Garnic and Mike Kotick were both recognized as

all-league second team honorees.

Crescenta Valley advanced to the second round of the Division I

playoffs, before losing to Long Beach Poly, 4-0.

Coach Bill Papagno's Falcons finished with a 13-8-6 overall record,

5-4-1 in the Pacific League and were led by Lindon Pecorelli's 18 goals

and 10 assists.

Clint Radenbaugh and Mike Ramirez were both selected to the all-league
