EDWARD R. MASYCZEK

Edward R. Masyczek, 83, died on Dec. 31, 1999, in Glendale.

He was born in Watertown, S.D., and lived in La Crescenta for 37

years. He was an electrical engineer with Pacific Bell for more than 30

years and was an active member of the Pioneer Club of the Foothill

Traveling Santas.

He is survived by his daughters, Karen and Carol; sons, Dennis,

Richard and Robert; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A Mass will be held at 11 a.m. today at Holy Redeemer Church in

Montrose. Burial will be on Thursday at San Fernando Mission Cemetery.

ROBERT L. HEATH

Robert L. Heath, 82, died on Jan. 1, 2000, in Panorama City.

He was born in Montrose, Colo. and lived in Sunland for more than 48

years. He began as a manufacturing planner for Lockheed and became the

company's chief mechanical engineer. He was an active member of the First

Baptist Church in La Crescenta.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; daughters, Beth Duvall and

Becky Heath; and four grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church in

La Crescenta. Burial will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland,

Ore. Donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, 4441 La Crescenta

Ave., La Crescenta, CA 91214.

MARCELLA C. WISTROM

Marcella C. Wistrom, 82, died on Jan. 1, 2000, in Glendale.

She was born in Des Moines, and lived in Montrose for more than 60

years. She was a homemaker for more than 50 years.

She is survived by her nieces, Elaine Sullivan and Diana Mincks.

A Mass will be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday at Holy Redeemer Church in

Montrose. Burial will be at San Fernando Mission Cemetery.

JOSEPH F. SCHRAGE

Joseph F. Schrage, 82, died on Jan. 2, 2000, in Glendale.

He was born in St. Louis, Mo. and was a longtime Glendale resident.

He served in the Army Air Force during World War II and was then

employed by Dales Supermarkets.

He is survived by his wife, Eunice; sister, June Hugo; sister-in-law,

Beverly Schrage; two nieces; and many cousins.

Services will be held at noon on Thursday in the Peace Chapel of

Kiefer & Eyerick Mortuary. Burial will be at Forest Lawn in Glendale.

ROBERT SIMS

Robert Sims died on Dec. 17, 1999, in Templeton. He was 85.

He was born in Pasadena and educated in South Pasadena. He was

employed as District Supervisor for the Southern California Gas Co. for

12 years. He owned his own contracting business for 30 years.

He was a member of Crescenta Valley Masonic Lodge #652 and the Al

Malaikah Shrine Temple of Los Angeles. He was the past president of the

La Canada-La Crescenta Hi-Twelve Club.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lois; sons, Allen, Jerry and

Michael; daughters, Mary and Christine; daughter-in-law, Linda;

son-in-laws, Ken and Michael; 10 grandchildren; and seven

great-grandchildren.

A private family gathering will be held.
