Assistance League offers SAT classes

GLENDALE -- The Assistance League of Glendale is offering a seminar

for students looking for help with the Scholastic Aptitude Test.

The league is sponsoring classes starting March 6 to help students

improve their test-taking skills and help raise their scores on the

college-entrance exam.

One class will meet Mondays and Wednesdays from March 6 to March 29.

The other will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from March 7 to March 30. Both

classes will be 7 to 9 p.m. each day at the league's chapter house, at

1325 E. California Ave.

Four practice tests in math and English will be held throughout the

seminar.

The course is $35 per student and includes a textbook and

refreshments.

Registration forms are available in school counseling offices and at

the league's Thrift Corner at 301 N. Verdugo Road.
