Singles connection group meets

LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE -- The Singles Connection for Christian adults

meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Harris Hall Fireside Room at La Canada

the featured speaker. The Singles Connection is for adults from 35 to 55

Retreat offers chance to reflect

Presbyterian Church for a "Day Apart" on Thursday at Mater Dolorosa

Retreat Center in Sierra Madre. The day will consist of a guided entry

into silence, with time for reading, listening and prayer. The cost is

GLENDALE -- The Rev. Hugh Bell of the Central Glendale Church of

Religious Science will speak on a "Reverence for Love" at the 10:30 a.m.

Sunday service at the Glendale Masonic Temple, 244 N. Maryland Ave. A

meditation time is offered at 10 a.m. Refreshments will be served

following the service.

'Loves Power' is the message

LA CRESCENTA -- The Rev. Bill Schirmer has selected "Loves Power...In

Human Relations" as his sermon subject for the 10 a.m. Sunday service at

La Crescenta Church of Religious Science, 4845 Dunsmore Ave. Music will

be provided by Susan and Chris Holder.

Women's Fellowship Valentine Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the First
