This letter is in direct response to the letter written about "Car
wash lacks horse sense. The car wash is being built at the corner of
Sonora Avenue and Victory Boulevard.
I have lived in beautiful Glendale for more than 35 years. I am
thrilled to hear a brand new and clean car wash is being built at this
location. For many years this vacant lot has been an awful sight. No
curbs, no sidewalks, nothing.
This is one of the main entrances to Glendale, immediately exiting the
5 and the 134 freeways. New construction at this sight with, I'm sure,
beautiful landscaping will capture the beauty of the neighborhood, and
will give a much more inviting appearance to the neighborhood and city.
Keep in mind that new construction and beautification is contagious
and invites cleanliness. Underdeveloped and abandoned lots bring in
graffiti, trash, abandoned furniture, transients, all the worst things.
Be fortunate this area is being developed. We live in the city not out in
the country.
What do you people like, only the smell of horses and their droppings?
I can't wait to get my car washed there!
