GLENDALE -- Glendale firefighters will roll out the welcome mat

Saturday as they observe Fire Service Day.

The second Satuday of May has been set aside throughout the nation as

a time to share the various services offered by fire departments.

"It's really to show the public, 'We're here for you,"' said fireman

Carlos Guerrero, assistant to the battalion chief.
