CITY HALL -- A city board is expected to weigh in today on whether
Glendale should replace a consultant who prepared the environmental
impact report on the proposed Oakmont View V subdivision.
The Environmental and Planning Board will meet at 10:30 a.m. in the
council chambers of City Hall, 613 E. Broadway. The meeting will be
televised on Charter Cable Channel 6.
City Planner Dave Bobardt, who will make a recommendation to the board
on Rincon Consultants of Ventura, wasn't finished with his report late
Wednesday and would not comment on his presentation.
The board will give a recommendation to City Manager Jim Starbird who
will make the final decision.
Rincon has come under fire from anti-development groups for
underestimating the impact of the proposed 572-home project in the
Verdugo Mountains.
