GLENDALE -- The Rev. Bonnie Rowsell will speak about "Trust The Power

of Love" at the 10 a.m. Sunday service at the Glendale Church of

Religious Science, 2146 E. Chevy Chase Drive.

A 15-minute meditation will be held at 9:30 a.m. Children's church for

kids 5 to 12 will be held at 10 a.m. and child care is available.

Vacation Bible School planned at First Christian

BURBANK--The First Christian Church of Burbank, 221 S. Sixth St. has

scheduled Vacation Bible School from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 31 through

Aug. 4. for children in the first through eighth grade.

'Significant Relationships'

is sermon topic

LA CRESCENTA--The Rev. John Peterson will speak on "Significant

Relationships" at 10:45 a.m. at the First Baptist Church at La Crescenta,

4441 La Crescenta Ave.

During the month of July and Aug. they will be alternating each Sunday

between a Contemporary and Blended service.

Sunday school classes are at 9 a.m. for children of all ages.

LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE-- The Church of the Lighted Window family

vacation bible school will be held from 5:30 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at

the church, 1200 Foothill Blvd. in La Canada.

There will be a potluck dinner from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. followed by an

adult bible study led by Rev. Stephen Fletcher on the Gospel of Matthew.

The contribution per family is $25. Each family will be asked to bring

a side dish to share for the potluck dinners, with the main dish and

drinks provided.

Each evening will also include an arts and crafts time for the adults,

'Sympathy is More Than Condolence'

LA CRESCENTA-- The Rev. Bill Schirmer has selected "Sympathy is More

Than Condolence" for his topic for the 10 a.m. Sunday service at the La

Crescenta Church of Religious Science, 4845 Dunsmore Avenue.

The musical inspiration will be provided by Arthur Rand.

Church school is offered for young people ages four through teens. The

class occur simultaneously with the church service. Brunch is served

following the ceremony in the Chaffee Hall.

A "Course in Miracles" is offered every Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. For

"Friends Forever"

LA CRESCENTA -- A free musical will be presented at 4 and 6 p.m. on

July 30, at the First Baptist Church at La Crescenta, 4441 La Crescenta

Ave.

The musical will be presented by the high school, college choir, and

drama team at the church, and is written by Karla Worley, Michael Smith,

and Steven V. Taylor, and directed by Lyndsey Houser. It deals with four

high school students and their goal to be "Friends Forever."
