Frozen Flashback

Just when Boy George, Guns N' Roses and florescent fashions had

become a faint memory for most people, Coldstone Creamery brought them

back out on Saturday for "80s Night." As crowds along Brand Boulevard

were taken back to the past by the classic cars of Cruise Night,

customers at the downtown ice cream shop also took a trip down memory

lane, inspired by clothes, decor and music from the 1980s. To Meri

Gulyan, a 17-year-old crew leader at Coldstone, the 80s bring back

memories of "big hair and poofy dresses...and workout videos." Though she

thinks the clothes were "just hideous," Gulyan liked some of the things

that came out of the decade. "The music was really good," she said.
