Police hunt for suspects in robberies

GLENDALE -- In unrelated incidents, two robberies took occurred over

two days, one at a gas station and the other at a liquor store.

In the first robbery, a man with a gun walked into Roy Liquor on

Friday night and demanded money, pointing a revolver at a female worker's

head. The owner of the store, at 6250 San Fernando Road, handed over $300

as a customer walked in to cash a paycheck. The robber ordered the male

customer to the ground and took the paycheck but dropped it in the

parking lot.

The robber fled in a waiting car, which was parked across several

parking spots in front of the store. Police were still investigating

Monday.

The second robbery occurred early Sunday morning, when several men

approached two men in the parking lot of a Mobil station at 825 N.

Central Ave. The two men were talking at their cars when six men came up

to them from different directions and demanded money. The group of men

started hitting both men and took a necklace and watch from one of the

men.

The group of men fled in various directions in different cars. Police

were still investigating Monday.
