GLENDALE -- The Glendale Homeowners Coordinating Council can take the

"s" off of "candidates" in their "Congressional Candidates' Forum."

The campaign for Rep. James Rogan (R-Glendale) said Thursday the

incumbent congressman would not appear with state Sen. Adam Schiff

(D-Glendale) at the event on Monday.

Due to his legislative duties, the congressman has limited time for

forums and debates and wants to focus on those that will be nonpartisan,

said Jason Roe, manager of the Rogan campaign.

"Their board is full of Schiff supporters or contributors and that's

hardly a nonpartisan forum," Roe said.

Parke Skelton, a consultant for the Schiff campaign, said the state

senator will attend the event, with or without his opponent.

"I can't imagine a better opportunity," he said.

The forum will begin at 7 p.m. at Glendale Fire Station 21, 421 Oak

St.
