RUSSELL W. WHIPPLE
Russell W. Whipple, 66, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, in his Glendale
home.
Mr. Whipple was born on June 26, 1934, in Los Angeles and lived in
Glendale for 26 years. He served in the military during the Korean War.
He was an electrician for 35 years, last employed by Mojave Electrical.
Survivors include his wife, MaryAnn; son, Joshua Whipple; brother,
John Warren Whipple; and sister, Bonnie Jean Potts.
Services will be private for family only.
EVELYN ESTHER "EBBY" LEWIS-OLMSTEAD
Evelyn Esther "Ebby" Lewis-Olmstead, 80, died Friday, Sept. 22, 2000,
at the Hemet Valley Medical Center.
Mrs. Olmstead was born on Dec. 1, 1919, in Ft. William, Ontario,
Canada. She came to Burbank in 1923, graduated from Burbank High School
in 1939 and lived in Burbank for 62 years. In 1984, Mrs. Olmstead retired
to Hemet with her husband.
Survivors include her husband, C. Kenneth Olmstead; son, Dale
Olmstead; daughters, Susanne McPhail and Deborah Vintere; five
grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Hartford Funeral Home in
Hemet, 120 N. Buena Vista St. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at San
Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 W. McCabe Road in Gustine, Calif.
