Cars Collide Near Freeway

LOS ANGELES -- Two Nissans, one white and one black, faced off at the

Golden State (5) Freeway northbound onramp with disastrous results. Three

people were injured, one critically, when the accident occurred at 4:29

p.m. Tuesday. The cars ended up blocking both the northbound and

southbound sides of the ramp. The California Highway Patrol, Los Angeles

County Fire Department and the Glendale Fire Department responded to the

collision. The critically-injured person was taken to County USC Medical

Center in Los Angeles. The two people with minor injuries were taken to

County USC Medical Center and Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in

Burbank.
