GLENDALE -- Recent rain led to several traffic fatalities in the Los

Angeles area, including one man killed in Glendale and another man, from

La Crescenta, killed in a crash in Woodland Hills.

Coroner's Office reports. Einarsen was partially thrown from the truck

when it hit a tree and was pronounced dead at the scene from severe head

trauma, coroner's spokesman Scott Carrier said Monday.

Ronald Marcel Satchell, 39, of San Dimas was killed early Thursday

when he lost control of his car on the west side of the Ventura (134)

Freeway near Pacific Avenue. His Dodge Neon slid on the wet road and hit

a guard rail, a highway patrol spokesman said. Satchell died from blunt

force trauma to his head and body, Carrier said.
