MOYSE FIELD -- Jason Hogan caught two touchdown passes and scored

on a 49-yard punt return to lead Crescenta Valley to a 49-7 victory

against Hoover in a Pacific League game Friday. Hogan caught first-half

touchdown passes of 47 and 13 yards from quarterback Hudson Gossard, who

completed 13 of 15 passes for 184 yards and five touchdowns.

The Falcons (8-1, 3-1 in league) scored on their first possession when

Gossard threw a 3-yard pass to Ryan Radenbaugh, to cap an eight-play

drive. Hoover (0-9, 0-4) then fumbled the ensuing kickoff, which was

recovered by Radenbaugh at the Hoover 10-yard line. Gossard then threw a

10-yard touchdown pass to Jason Burkhart to make it 14-0.

Burkhart also caught a 48-yard touchdown pass from Gossard early in

the second quarter to extend the Falcons' lead to 28-0. Hogan finished

with four receptions for 85 yards.

CV lost its bid for a shutout when Hoover's Peter Riojas scored on

3-yard run with 1:38 left in the fourth quarter. Hoover finished with 25

total yards on offense, including eight in the first half.
