RUTH ELIZABETH RONDINONE

Ruth Elizabeth Rondinone, 74, died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2000, at her home

in La Crescenta.

Mrs. Rondinone was born in Birmingham, Ala., and lived in La Crescenta

for more than 48 years. She was a bookkeeper with Interstate Brands

Bakery for more than 16 years.

Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Rondinone and Susan Lapham;

son, Edward; and two sisters, Juanita Jones and Margaret Hutton.

A private inurnment was under the direction of Crippen Mortuary.

MISS VALDORG 'HEDY' HEDBACK

Miss Valdorg "Hedy" Hedback died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at Glendale

Adventist Medical Center.

Miss Hedback was born to Hilja and John Hedback March 2, 1907, in

Finland, and came to the U.S. in 1939. Miss Hedback volunteered for

several local organizations, including the Glendale Library Committee,

The Glendale Symphony Orchestra Assn. and Descanso Gardens. She also

worked on several Republican campaigns.

Survivors include her niece, Ulla Mowatt-Larssen; great-grandnephews,

Erling, Stig and Tore; and numerous relatives in Sweden and Finland.

There will be no memorial services.

SIEUWERT SLORT

Sieuwert Slort, 94, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, in Glendale.

Mr. Slort was born March 28, 1906, in Holland. He lived in Glendale

for 51 years and was a minister at Immanuel Kirche in Los Angeles.

Survivors include his wife, Maria; son, Jan; and daughter, Anita Beck.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, 2000, at The Church

of the Hills, Forest Lawn-Hollywood Hills, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive.
