GCC offers 'study abroad' courses

GLENDALE COMMUNITY COLLEGE -- Glendale Community College will offer

courses in history, the humanities, art history, art and Italian this

spring in Florence, Italy.

Also, the college will offer students monthlong summer classes in

Dublin, Ireland, and Costa Rica.

551-5143. GCC professors Roger Bowerman and Leonard DeGrassi will teach

in Florence. The course fee is $4,600, which covers airfare, room and

board. The registration fees for all courses are separate.

The Dublin study tour will be taught by GCC professors John Queen and

Dennis Doyle. The cost is $2,800.

Costa Rican classes will be taught by GCC professor Mona Field. The

cost is approximately $2,300.

All courses in the GCC study abroad program are regular college

classes and fully transferable to universities.
