PROGRAM OFFERS HOLIDAY-THEMED TOURS

Two holiday trips are offered this month by the Glendale College

Community Services Education program. This Saturday, the elegance of a

turn-of-the-century Christmas can be found at the 1905 Feynes Mansion in

old Pasadena.

The mansion tour includes the chance to see original furnishings and

paintings and have a holiday luncheon in the dining room. After lunch,

participants continue touring the mansion, the Folk Art Museum and the

gardens where the trees are full of old-fashioned holiday decorations.

After exploring the early days of Pasadena, guests will visit the

California Institute of Technology. The fee is $55. The tour is from 9

a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

On Saturday, Dec. 16, a holiday cruise of lights at Huntington Harbor

is offered. This trip goes to the South Bay area for a cruise past

waterside homes that are decorated as an annual event. The afternoon

starts with a stop in Long Beach and an opportunity to visit the Long

Beach Aquarium, to shop at the boutiques in the area, or visit the Queen

Mary.

In the evening, the motorcoach proceeds to Huntington Harbor for a

cruise through canals to see displays of animated scenes and lights. The

boat offers views from inside and outside. The fee is $49. The trip is

from noon to 8:30 p.m.

To sign up for either holiday trip, call 548-0864, ext. 5015 or 5016.
