the third quarter."
The Tologs had 20 first-half turnovers, allowing Immaculate Heart to
build a 30-20 lead.
The Pandas shot 13 for 38 (34.2%) from the field in the first half,
and three of 12 (25.0%) from three-point territory.
Flintridge Sacred Heart shot only nine of 35 (25.7%) in the first half
and 21 of 70 (30.0%) overall.
The Pandas (3-0) received a game-high 28 points from senior captain
Sydney Miyatake, including 15 from three-point territory.
"In the first half we were kind of slow, but we picked it up as a
team," Miyatake said. "We wanted it more than they wanted it. We brought
our 'A' game. I do what I do and it just happens."
Panda guard Tara Weldon added 12 points.
Immaculate Heart fell behind 8-2 early in the first quarter, but it
went on a 15-2 run in the final five minutes -- holding Flintridge Sacred
Heart scoreless for the final two -- to take the lead for good.
The Tologs trailed by as much as 14 points in the second quarter.
Flintridge Sacred Heart trimmed the lead to six with five minutes
remaining in the third quarter.
Immaculate Heart responded with a 14-6 run to take a 48-34 lead
entering the fourth quarter.
"We missed a lot of easy shots," Sarber said.
Another downfall for the Tologs was their bench, which was outscored
20-3.
The Tologs had only one player score in double digits. Senior center
Kelly La Russa had a team-high 16 points, and Kathryn DiPietro and
Caroline Hugar pitched in with eight a piece.
