Students are encouraged to draw the positive feelings they have for
their neighborhoods by depicting community beautification and pollution
prevention efforts.
The grand prize winner will be reprinted and displayed throughout the
city in the anti-litter campaign.
Track A, D and traditional classrooms can participate in the contest
in January. Track B classrooms can participate in February.
Entries are due Jan. 26 for the first group and March 2 for the second
group.
The entries will be judged on March 6 and winners announced on March
8. A ceremony will be held March 29 to honor the winners.
Two finalists from each participating school will be chosen in two
categories: kindergarten through third-grade and fourth- through the
sixth-grade. All of the winners will be receive trophies.
