Woman hit in front of police station

DOWNTOWN -- A 38-year-old Glendale woman was cited Friday for hitting

a woman in a crosswalk in front of the Glendale Police headquarters,

police said.

The woman was turning from Isabel Street to Wilson Avenue when the

glare from the sun prevented her from seeing the 41-year-old Glendale

woman in the crosswalk, she told police.

The victim was legally crossing Wilson Avenue in the crosswalk, police

said.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of pain to her

knee and the driver was also cited on suspicion of driving without

insurance.
