GCC celebrates Black History Month

NORTHEAST GLENDALE -- Glendale Community College is celebrating Black

History Month with a series of events throughout the month.

A recording of Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech and

some spirituals will be played at noon on Tuesday in Plaza Vaquero.

Randy St. Martin will present a show titled "Color Me Black" at noon

on February 20 in Plaza Vaquero.

Lamont Yeakey will give a lecture on singer Paul Robeson at noon on

Feb. 22 in Kreider Hall.

Yeakey is an associate professor of history at Cal State L.A.
