SOUTHEAST GLENDALE -- A 61-year-old Glendale man was in critical
condition Tuesday evening after being hit by a car.
The incident occurred about 6 p.m. on the 1300 block of East Colorado
Street.
The man, whose name was not immediately released by police, was
crossing the street when he was hit by a newer model, beige Toyota Camry,
Glendale Police Sgt. Russ Pierce said.
The driver of the Camry left the scene and was last seen heading
westbound on Colorado Street,Pierce said.
The man was taken to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena with
injuries to the right side of his body, hesaid.
Two lanes of Colorado Street were closed for several hours while
police investigated the accident, he said. It was not known in which
direction the man was walking or whether he was in a crosswalk at the
time of the accident, Pierce said.
