Man arrested after chase

LA CRESCENTA -- A 36-year-old Los Angeles motorcyclist was arrested

after allegedly leading police on a short chase through residential

streets onto freeways.

A Glendale Police officer stopped the man at 1 a.m. Sunday at Florencita Drive and Wickham Way when he did not signal for a turn,

officials said. The man stopped briefly, then rode away on his

motorcycle, police said.

The officer followed the man, whose speed reached 50 mph on Ocean View

Boulevard before turning east on the Foothill (210) Freeway to the

Glendale (2) Freeway, according to police reports. On the freeways, the

man's speed reached 120 mph, police said.

After a four-minute chase, the man stopped and was arrested on

suspicion of evading an officer and driving on a suspended license. The

man also had a warrant for his arrest for an alleged drug offense.
