Local radio personality to receive Lions Club award

GLENDALE -- A man whom locals know as a radio personality on

Glendale-based KRLA-AM (870) is about to get a new title.

Dennis Prager, host of a daily talk show broadcast on KRLA, will be

given the Citizen of the Year Award by the Miracle Mile Lions Club later

this month, according to a news release.

"[Prager} provokes and inspires us to ... judge others, not on what is

presently fashionable or what is presumed to be politically correct, but

on the timeless principals of morality, ethics and good, old-fashioned

common sense," Lions Club member Jerry Zerg said in a statement.

The award will be presented at a luncheon Tuesday in Los Angeles.
