The event, coordinated by the association's Memorial Music Scholarship

Foundation, is open to the public. A wide range of musical styles will be

showcased.

If selected, musicians will perform at the Meet the Musicians program

on Saturday, April 28, at Brand Library, where they will receive their

scholarships.

'Hay Fever' opens Friday

at A Noise Within

GLENDALE -- The next production performed by A Noise Within is "Hay

Fever" by Noel Coward, opening Friday.

Directed by Art Manke, co-artistic director, the play is about the

highly independent and overtly bohemian Bliss family. Actress Judith and

novelist David are prone to elaborate parlor games, artistic outbursts

and hysterical indulgences. Four guests expecting a romantic weekend in

the country are instead treated to "Blissful" eccentricities and

unorthodox hospitality in this 1925 comedy of very bad manners.

The play continues through May 24, in repertory with Shakespeare's

"The Comedy of Errors."

Ticket prices range from $16 to $40 and can be reserved by calling

(323) 953-7795. The theater is at 234 S. Brand Blvd. in Glendale.
