Three arts winners from Glendale

NORTHEAST GLENDALE -- Three local high school students were named as

winners in the Congressional Arts Competition.

The students from the 27th Congressional District took first and third

place and honorable mention in the contest.

Clark Magnet High junior Sapideh Omidghaemi took first place in the

contest and her artwork will hang in the U.S. Capitol for one year.

Amy Brunton, an eleventh-grader at Crescenta Valley High, took third

place in the contest. Her work will be displayed in Rep. Adam Schiff's

(D-Glendale) Pasadena office.

Honorable mention went to Esther B. Lee, a senior at Hoover High.

The three were among six students from the 27th Congressional District

in the contest.

The winners were announced Monday evening at the Congressional Arts

Forum and Competition at The Alex Theatre.
