GLENDALE -- The Glendale Arts and Culture Commission have teamed up
with the Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce to celebrate Spring
Arts Week.
The celebration, which is actually about two weeks long, will feature
local arts and cultural events throughout the city.
Fiesta Latina kicked off the celebration Sunday. Other events will
include:
* Through May 18: The 11th Annual Montrose Verdugo Juried Art Exhibit.
Wine and cheese opening reception is 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Cal Fed Bank,
2350 Honolulu Ave., Whites Gallery, 2414 Honolulu Ave. and Village Square
Gallery, 2418 Honolulu Ave.
* Saturday: Mr. Brand's Birthday Party: A Celebration of the Arts in
our Environment; 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Brand Park Library and Arts Center at
1601 W. Mountain Ave.
* May 19: Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce Art Walk 2001;
noon to 4 p.m.; 2300 and 2400 blocks of Honolulu Avenue.
