SHABALINEZ GHANBARI
Shabalinez Ghanbari, 71, a Glendale resident, died May 1, 2001, in a
Glendale hospital.
Ms. Ghanbari was born in Iran.
She was a homemaker for 60 years.
She is survived by her sons, Saro of Burbank and Varaz of Glendale;
and daughter, Jooliet of La Crescenta.
Funeral services were held Monday at the Church of the Hills, Forest
Lawn, Hollywood Hills.
Burial followed at Forest Lawn Memorial-Park, Hollywood Hills.
KARL A. LACOM
Karl A. LaCom, 83, a lifelong resident of Glendale, died May 6, 2001.
Mr. LaCom was a World War II Air Force pilot and flew with the 5th
U.S. Air Force Division in the South Pacific.
Prior to retiring, he was the parts manager for Allen Gwynn Chevrolet
for 35 years. He was a longtime member of the Glendale Elks Lodge.
He is survived by his son, Mike, and daughter-in-law, Sherri;
daughter, Linda LaCom; and grandchildren, Erik M. and Kari I. LaCom.
Friends and family will gather from 3 to 9 p.m. today in the Garden
Chapel of Woods Scovern Mortuary. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at
Incarnation Church.
Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial-Park, Glendale.
