Toddlertime with stories, crafts and songs will be held from 10:30 to

11 a.m. each Thursday in May in the Children's Room at the Glendale

Central Library, 222 E. Harvard St. Admission is free and materials will

Temple Sinai of Glendale Seniors, 1212 N. Pacific Ave., will have a

brown bag luncheon from noon to 2 p.m. Following the lunch, "The

The Associates of the Brand Library and Art Center, 1601 W. Mountain St., is showcasing the works of two local artists, John Tarpley and Bill

Noble, in the Looking Glass display case. The exhibit will run through

May. Gallery hours are from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, 1 to 6 p.m.

Wednesday, and from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The Crescenta Valley Town Council will meet at 7 p.m. at the Crescenta

Valley Sheriff's Station, 4554 Briggs Ave. Scholarship awards for 2001

will be given to Crescenta Valley High School students. The council's

"Life in Ten Minutes," a selection of student-directed, 10-minute

plays to be held in the Auditorium Studio Theatre at Glendale Community

College, 1500 N. Verdugo Road. Performances will be at 8 p.m. tonight,

Friday, Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Reservations are recommended due to

limited seating. Tickets are $7, $5 for students and seniors, and $3 for

FRIDAY

The Glendale Sunrise Rotary meets at 7 a.m. Fridays at the Hilton

Glendale, 100 W. Glenoaks Blvd. A buffet breakfast will be served. For

Free Internet orientation classes will be held at the La Crescenta

Public Library, 4521 La Crescenta Ave. Learn about the Internet and

e-mail. Training sessions are available for all ages. Stop by the library

The Glendale Democratic Club will meet with a social at 6:30 p.m.

followed by the meeting at 7 p.m. at the Red Cross Building, 1501 S.

Brand Blvd. The guest speaker will be state Sen. Jack Scott (D-Glendale).
