The Associates of the Brand Library and Art Center, 1601 W. Mountain St., are showcasing the works of two local artists: Courtney Hayes, whose

watercolors will be featured, and Myrna Perez, whose jewelry will be

shown. The works are in the Looking Glass display case on exhibit through

the end of August. Gallery hours are 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays,

1 to 6 p.m. Wednesdays, and from 1 to 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. For

The Los Angeles Breakfast Club will host a buffet at 7 a.m. at 3201

Riverside Drive, Los Angeles. The guest speaker will be Paul Trevizo. The

club raises funds for charities in Glendale and other areas in Los

hold a Penny Carnival from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Dunsmore Park, 4700

Park, 3529 Clifton Place. Games and carnival activities will cost between

Glendale Central Library, 222 E. Harvard St. The group will discuss

"Sammy Keyes and the Sisters of Mercy" by Wendelin Van Draanes. The group

meets once a month to discuss a selected book and enjoy refreshments. For

"Buffalo Stampede 2001" is a group exhibit at Charles Borman's Village

Square Gallery, 2418 Honolulu Ave., Suite C, Montrose. the exhibit will
