Adopt a Family program begins

GLENDALE -- The Glendale YWCA Battered Women's shelter is looking for

residents to adopt families in need during the holiday season.

The annual adoption program aids children and women who are receiving

services from the Glendale YWCA emergency and transitional housing

programs.

Residents can choose what size family they would like to adopt. They

will be given the first name, gender, age, clothing size and holiday

wishes of that family.

Any or all of the items on the wish list may be purchased.

Nonperishable food baskets and gift certificates are also welcome.
