As a Glendale resident and student at GCC, I see the needs of the

college on a day-to-day basis. From limited classroom space to absolutely

no parking, the school needs help.

I've lived in Glendale for a few of years and graduated from Glendale

High. When I got the first mailer that spoke about building more parking

and adding new classrooms I was ecstatic. The fact that they want to

upgrade the labs and complete the science center shows me that they have

a commitment to educate students for the 21st century.

Glendale Community College was a great opportunity for me, as I could

not afford the cost of a four-year university. I am getting the first two

years of my college education here and also have a good chance of

obtaining a scholarship when I transfer. With the demands of the 21st

century, GCC will definitely need to pass this measure if it wants to

keep the reputation it has earned over the years.

I hope the voters in Glendale will recognize the service the college

has done for me and all future GCC students.
