LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE -- The La Canada High School Booster Club is
inviting residents to its annual "Day at the Races" on Sunday. The event
is an opportunity to mingle with school administrators and booster club
directors, and at $25 for parking, admission, lunch and a program -- it's
a good value.
Several directors are "graduating" from the club, so this is also a
good opportunity for community members to learn more about joining.
This event will be held in the racetrack infield, where there is
shade, tables and a playground for children.
The booster club raises money for extracurricular activities at La
Canada High School and 7/8. At this point in the academic year, the club
has donated $93,000 to the school's academic and athletic programs.
