UNIVERSITY REPS ON CAMPUS FOR FAIR
The spring Transfer Day Fair will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday on
the San Rafael Plaza.
More than 40 public and private colleges and universities will have
representatives at Glendale College to provide information about their
schools.
There will be representatives from schools in the UC system from
Davis, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Diego and Santa Barbara. State
campuses participating include Cal Poly Pomona, Channel Islands,
Fullerton, Los Angeles, Northridge, San Marcos and Sonoma.
Some of the private institutions to be represented are Art Institute
of Los Angeles, Cleveland Chiropractic College, Loyola Marymount, Mount
St. Mary's, Northern Arizona, Pacific Oaks, Pepperdine, San Francisco Art
Institute, Scripps College, Trinity Law School, University of Judaism,
University of Redlands, USC, Woodbury and more.
The event is sponsored by the GCC Transfer Center. The public is
welcome to attend. The center's coordinators help students obtain
appointments with university representatives, arrange campus tours,
provide counseling, assess transfer options and conduct workshops.
An Evening Transfer Fair is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May
14.
MANAGE YOUR MONEY
"Successful Money Management" is a free six-week seminar that begins
Wednesday at the GCC Life Skills Building, which is off Mountain Street
near the Glendale (2) Freeway.
The class meets from 7 to 9 p.m. each Wednesday. It is offered as part
of the Lifelong Learning Seminars program. A workbook may be purchased in
the class for $25. Registration takes place at any class meeting. For

The instructor is Russell Doe who has his master's in business science
and is a certified financial planner and independent registered
investment advisor.
Topics will be managing money, reducing taxes, retirement planning,
understanding the stock market and real estate market, reducing insurance
costs and creating a plan to achieve financial objectives.
