Glendale Memorial's Cardiac Fitness Center offers big-band exercise

classes from 8 to 9 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays on the second floor of

the Glendale Heart Center, 1420 S. Central Ave. The class is available to

anyone who wants to get fit to the sounds of Glenn Miller, '50s rock 'n'

roll and contemporary music. The class consists of aerobic dance,

resistance band strengthening and stretching and flexibility exercise.

The fee is $24 for eight sessions or $40 for 16 sessions. The first class

offering a free course called "Understanding The Law." The class will

meet from 1 to 3 p.m. at Sparr Heights Senior Center, 1613 Glencoe Way.

The class is designed to give seniors information about new laws,

provisions, contract law and wills. Registration takes place at the door.
