City sponsors sewer meeting

LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE -- The city of La Canada Flintridge will host an

informational meeting for residents of Sewer District 2 at 7 p.m. May 23

at Descanso Gardens, 1418 Descanso Drive, La Canada Flintridge.

Sewer District 2 is the area north of Foothill Boulevard bookended by

Gould Avenue and La Canada Boulevard. It contains nearly 1,400 homes.

City officials and sewer consultants will provide the latest

information about the cost and timeline of the project. There will also

be an opportunity for residents to have their questions answered.

Ballots will be mailed Wednesday to residents of Sewer District 2, and

they will have 45 days from that time to send in their votes. The project

needs a simple majority vote to pass.
