to worry about where they are," said Marian Mirsky, Prom Plus volunteer.
"The students want to celebrate, have fun, be with their friends. This
gives them something to do."
Students who attend this year's event will find video games, sumo
wrestling, caricatures, temporary tattoos, food, swimming, laser tag,
poker, blackjack and other casino-style games.
Breakfast will be served at 4 a.m. and live entertainment will be
provided during the night.
A gift giveaway begins at 1:30 a.m., and a drawing will be at 4 a.m.
Winners must be present to win.
Attendance at the event has grown consistently throughout the years.
Some students who attend other schools but come as dates have even said
they would like a Prom Plus-type event at their school, Mirsky said.
Admission to Prom Plus is free with the purchase of a prom ticket.
Tickets to Prom Plus can also be purchased presale or at the door. Prom
attendance is not required to attend the event.
Students who attend Prom Plus should bring or wear comfortable
