Crescenta Valley High girls' basketball Coach Bruce Breeden will
be hosting a girls' basketball camp July 8-12 at CV, scheduled for 8
a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
The camp will incorporate competition and player evaluation, and

Hill holds second annual camp
La Canada High girls' basketball Coach Tamar Hill has three weeks
set aside in the summer for her second annual Spartan All-Stars
girls' basketball camp.
The camp is open to girls ages to 8 to 14 and will be held in the
La Canada High main gym from 1:15 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The three weeks that are scheduled are July 15-19, July 22-26 and
July 29-Aug. 2.

Tolog summer soccer camp scheduled
The Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy summer soccer camp, featuring
instruction from the Tolog coaching staff, will run from July 15-18
at the school, on 440 St. Katherine Drive, La Canada Flintridge.
It will be open to boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 12,
and to girls ages between 13 to and 17.
It will provide an opportunity to introduce basic soccer skills,
as well as specially selected technical and tactical exercises for
more competitive players.
The afternoon session, strictly for the older set of girls, will
be exclusively devoted to the advanced training of players who desire
to play at the high school and even college levels.

Youth girls' basketball camp coming up
The fourth annual Crescenta Valley Youth Basketball Girls'
Camp will be held Aug. 19-23 at Crescenta Valley High, 4400
Ramsdell Ave., Crescenta Valley.
The camp, geared for athletes ages 7-13, costs $200 and space is
limited.
Awards, prizes and awards will be handed out.
UCLA women's basketball star and CV graduate Michelle Greco will
coach the clinic.
UCLA women's Coach Kathy Olivier will speak and the camp will
feature former college stars Marie Philman, Melanie Pearson, Missy
Bynon and others.

Football and cheerleading sign-ups
The La Canada Gladiators will hold sign-ups for the 2002 football
season for the football and cheerleading programs.
The program is open to boys and girls, ages 6-14, who live in La
Canada Flintridge, La Crescenta and in surrounding areas.
The costs is $200 per football player ($225 after July 15)and $80
per cheerleader.
The Gladiator program fields six divisions: Junior Gremlins (ages
6-8), Gremlins (8-10), Junior Pee Wee (9-11), Pee Wee (10-12), Junior
Midget (11-13) and Midget (12-14).
Each team will be limited to 33 players.

Summer kicking camp open to all ages
The National Kicking Service will conduct a football placekicking
and punting camp in California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks
from July 24 to 26.
The camp is open to all ages, and attracts participants from
all over the country.
