MAJOR

Parkview (19-2) won the league title. Parkview was led by Baillie

Kirker's strong pitching all season. Kylie Mulligan, Candice Chessum,

Chelsea Reid, Presley Hubschmitt, Brianna Curtis and Kirker led the

powerful Parkview offense.

MINOR

CV's Rountree Glass 15, JDL 2: Jessica Dieny had four strikeouts

in three innings and Emma Vine had five strikeouts in three innings

Thursday at Montrose Park.

Maria Leon hit a double, Marina Achterman hit a triple and Sydney

Acevedo hit a home run.

Alex Timpson and Jackie Springer produced a double play for JDL.

JUNIOR championship game

Cecil Saydah, Inc. 6, Burlison & Luostari 5: Cecil Saydah scored

three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to win the title. Cecil

Saydah also won the regular-season title.

Colleen Boyd stole home to complete the comeback. The Saydah Red

Hot Devils' rally was started by Kelsey Kasper, who walked and stole

two bases, scoring their first run of the game.

Brittany Johnson and Erin Scharre had timely hits to keep the

rally going.

The Broncos were led by pitcher Mandy Herman. Caitlin Deering

caught a good game and had a long hit to left field.

Cecil Saydah, Inc. 5, Sanfilippo Construction 3: Sanfilippo's

five-game winning streak came to an end in a six-inning thriller.

Katie Nolan pitched her best game of the season and was supported by

the defense of Charlotte Allen, Jordan Hause and Kelly Giles.

Jade Stenzel pitched well for Cecil Saydah.

Cushman & Wakefield 4, SWR Sound 1: SWR Sound's Melanie Bitner and

Deanna Beasom came through with singles against fierce pitching and

fielding. Elizabeth Costello played well in left field.

Jessica Ferri threw great pitches, despite a bulky cast on her

left arm.

Cecil Saydah, Inc. 12, Burlison & Luostari 1: In a battle of the

remaining two undefeated playoff teams, Jade Stenzel pitched four

no-hit innings and Ani Butko had two hits and scored two runs.

Meghan Miller continued her stellar play with four innings behind

the plate.

Burlison & Luostari 13, Sanfilippo Construction 6: In the

semifinals of the playoffs, the Giants presented a never before seen

outfield, rivaled by no other team, when their outfielders caught

three absolute smashes from the Broncos.

Despite the brilliant defensive plays, the Sanfilippo Giants were

unable to contain the powerful Bronco offense and the pitching of

Mandy Hermann.
