David Tyler Kingston of Troop 395 received the rank of Eagle

Scout. He is the son of Scott and Sally Kingston and attends La Salle

High School in Pasadena.

For his Eagle Scout project, he alerted the city of La Canada

Flintridge of the dangers of drugs during Drug Awareness Week. He

worked with the Chamber of Commerce to collect more than 7,000

pencils with a drug awareness logo on them, packaged them and

distributed them to all the public and private schools in the city.

The project also involved the organizing of other to cut and tie

more than 500 red ribbons along Foothill Boulevard as a constant

reminder of the dangers of drugs.

He was patrol leader and acquired 25 badges before receiving his

Eagle Scout award.

Patrick Russell Sclafani of Troop 395 received the rank of Eagle

Scout. He is the son of Louis Sclafani and Sherry Sclafani.

For his Eagle project, he coordinated an effort to re-landscape

the entire front grass and plant area for Parents and Childrens

Nursery School in La Canada Flintridge.

It took four weekends to remove old plants and grass and replace

them with new sod, plants and flowers. The soil was rototilled and a

new irrigation system was installed.

He has also attained the Arrow of Light Award. He attends St.

Francis High School in La Canada Flintridge.
