from July 17-21.
Her best finish came in the 1,500-meter freestyle, in which she
took 20th place in 17 minutes 41.79 seconds.
She finished 32nd in the 800 freestyle (9:17.67), 44th in the 200
butterfly (2:27.82) and 51st in the 400 individual medley (5:15.55).
She also competed in the 400 freestyle, coming in 64th in 4:36.27 and
the 200 freestyle, placing 99th in 2:13.69.
Also participating for Swim Pasadena were Lindsay Taylor, Jessica
Ban, Kim Hitch, Renee Nicholas, Melissa Siracuse, Tawne Fishback and
Jennifer Wetzel on the girls' side and Jeff DeJong and Cameron Curtis
on the boys' side.
The other two local participants -- La Canada's Alyssa and Grant
Chin -- swam for Rose Bowl Aquatics.
Alyssa Chin finished 24th in the 200 individual medley (2:26.78),
53rd in the 100 freestyle (1:00.67) and 68th in the 200 freestyle
(2:11.05). She also competed in the 200 backstroke, 50 freestyle and
100 backstroke.
Taylor, a senior at CV, finished 67th in the 200 butterfly
(2:32.80), 75th in the 400 individual medley (5:45.06) and 95th in
the 200 individual medley (2:38.90).
Ban placed 73rd in the 200 butterfly (2:35.14) and participated in
the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly.
Hitch took 71st place in the 400 individual medley (5:27.18), 76th
place in the 200 backstroke (2:32.92) and participated in the 100
backstroke.
Nicholas placed 84th in the 200 backstroke (2:36.22 and 112th in
the 50 freestyle (29.98).
Siracuse, a 2002 Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy graduate, was
54th in the 100 breaststroke (1:21.05), 58th in the 200 breaststroke
(2:53.16) and 100th in the 200 individual medley (2:42.26).
Fishback placed 71st in the 200 breaststroke (3:01.21), 73rd in
the 100 breaststroke (1:26.72) and 103rd in the 100 butterfly
(1:11.11).
Rounding out the girls' side was Wetzel, who finished 71st in the
100 breaststroke (1:26.31), 72nd in the 200 breaststroke (3:03.78)
and 103rd in the 200 individual medley (2:46.52).
For the boys, DeJong placed 46th in the 200 breaststroke in
2:42.76.
Grant Chin was 38th in the 200 breaststroke (2:35.66), 39th in the
100 breaststroke (1:13.05) and 61st in the 200 individual medley
(2:19.33).
And finally, La Canada's Cameron Curtis placed 44th in the 100
breaststroke (1:14.53), 54th in the 100 backstroke (1:05.34) and 71st
in the 200 individual medley (2:24.13).
