Zarian to host tenant, landlord reps

August 15, 2002

Glendale Tenant Assn. founder Ken Carlson and Glendale Apartment

Assn. President Herbert Molano will discuss existing and proposed

legislation to protect renters on tonight's episode of the "Larry

Zarian Forum."

Carlson, a tenant-landlord attorney, is a proponent of the just

cause eviction ordinance being considered by City Council. The

ordinance is designed to protect renters from retaliatory evictions.

Molano, a Glendale property owner, spearheaded a rent disclosure

program adopted by the city to protect tenants from arbitrary rent

increases. He disputes the effectiveness of the just cause ordinance,

which was introduced by the council Tuesday.

The live call-in show airs from 7 to 8 p.m. on Charter

Communications Channel 26. To ask a question during the show, call

547-3668.
