gone further than even my dreams could take me.

KATIE STAUFFER

OUTFIELD

I've known some of these girls since we played on the 9-and

10-year-old All-Star team and were state champions together.

It has been rewarding to see how far we have come along as

individuals and teammates. It has been a real joy getting to know all

of the girls fairly well. They are a great group to be around and fun

to be with.

Making it to the World Series was an unforgettable experience and

something I am going to look back on frequently with a positive

remark. I think the height of the trip was beating Washington in the

championship round at the Western Regional Tournament in Montana ...

As much as it hurts inside to know we are not the world champions

this year, I know there is going to be another game or tournament

somewhere and we will win. Then I will really be able to say we are

the best.

Midway, Texas, won the series this year fair and square, but we

tied with Gladstone, Mich., in our overall tournament record of 4-2.

It seems to me that we are the third-best Little League team in the

world. That's pretty good.

MICHELLE SUMMERS

OUTFIELD/INFIELD

I am very grateful that I got a chance to play on this all-star

team. I had a lot of fun playing with my high school teammates and

meeting new people from different schools.

It was a hard fight trying to get to the World Series. We played a

tough Washington team to get to the World Series. My most memorable

moment in the Western Regionals was when we beat Washington, 18-0 ...

My trip to the World Series in Kentucky was an enjoyable experience.

I got to play against three international teams, Canada, Netherlands,

and the Philippines. I had a lot of fun playing against these teams

and listening to them speak their language.

One of my biggest thrills of the World Series was beating

Asia-Pacific in the bottom of the eight inning. That was a big win

for us.

PITCHER/INFIELD

Playing for the Glendale All-Star team has been a wonderful

experience.

I was one of the new girls on the team this year and I didn't know

anyone except the girls from Hoover.

Once we got to Montana we started opening up to each other. We had

some awesome games ... at the Western Regionals.

My favorite moment was when we had three home runs in the same day

... Being in Montana was fun, but not as fun as Kentucky.

I made a lot of new friends. Some of them didn't even live in the

U.S. There were a lot of fun moments, like ... talking on the radio
