grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Crippen Mortuary
Chapel.

MYRTLE MAE RALPHS
Myrtle Mae Ralphs, a longtime Glendale resident, died Sept. 19,
2002.
She was born in 1911, in Portland, Ore. As a child, she spent
three years in the Alaskan territory while her father engineered the
first railroad in that frontier.
She was involved in the catering business at the YWCA for many
years. After retirement, she volunteered at Glendale Adventist
Hospital.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Wendell
Prater; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Betty; six grandchildren;
and nine great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Carl, and son, John, died before her.
A private memorial is scheduled for a later date.
SUSANNA M. HADLEY
Susanna M. Hadley, a longtime Glendale resident, died Sept. 21,
2002, in Sacramento.
She is survived by her husband, Perry; sons, Chris and Dennis;
daughter-in-law, Cynthia; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Jay
Thurston; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Robin Tyler; and
grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Her daughter, Kate Young, died before her.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Matthew's
Episcopal Church, 2300 Edison Ave., Sacramento.
