Armenian trade bill this weekend.

Ordway will speak at a special luncheon from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Saturday at the Brandview Collection, 109 E. Harvard St.

The event is free and open to the public. Space is limited and

those interested in attending must make a reservation.

Junior Achievement of Armenia will host the event, at which Ordway

will discuss Senate Bill 1657, a new Armenian trade bill that will

establish a privately and federally funded regional trade office in

Yerevan, Armenia.

The contract regional trade office will serve Eastern Europe and

Western Asia and would promote California trade relations in the

region.

The bill was signed by Gov. Gray Davis on Wednesday.

The event will also help educate people about Junior Achievement

of Armenia, grants coordinator Beth Broussalian said.

"Now that the bill has been signed, he can talk more freely about

the establishment of the trade office in Armenia," Broussalian said.

"He will also help us spread the word about Junior Achievement

activity in California."
