back in the hunt in its bracket with its second win in as many days

The once-unbeaten Purple Panthers dropped their third straight

match to fall to 2-3, 0-2 in bracket play following Sunday's contest.

The Grass Stains 1, Terminators 1: The Grass Stains (1-2-2, 0-1-2

in bracket play) rebounded from Saturday's loss to record their

second tie of the season Sunday.

The Shooting Stars 1, The Runny Eggs 0: The Shooting Stars earned

their first victory of the season Sunday to improve to 1-2-2, 0-1-2

in bracket play.

Cherry Bombers 2, Blew By You Too 1: The Cherry Bombers remained

unbeaten in bracket play at 3-0 and improved to 4-1 overall with

Sunday's victory.

Wildfire 1, Whatever 0: Wildfire (4-0, 2-0 in bracket play) held

one of the league's highest-scoring teams in check Saturday to remain

undefeated.

Megan Reilly's goal proved to be the difference, as she was set up

by Shallymar Agito, Lucia Sbardellati, Aesha Shah and Stephani Yau.

Brittany Bagheri, Taylor Luskin, Jordan Marshall, Hannah

McLaughlin and Samin Seraji anchored Wildfire's defense, which again

lived up to its billing as one of the best in the league.

Skyscrapers 4, The Grass Stains 1: Behind two goals from Jillian

Mascheroni, the Skyscrapers improved to 3-2, 2-1 in bracket play with

Saturday's win.

Paige O'Connor tallied her first career goal and Zayna Maaz

recorded her second goal in as many matches for Skyscrapers, which

received strong efforts from Summer Davidson, Megan Mangassarian,

Emily Osment and Brooke Roberts.

Jammin' Awesome Girls 2, The Purple Panthers 0: The Purple

Panthers (2-2, 0-1 in bracket play) couldn't keep pace with the

Jammin' Awesome Girls (4-0-1, 2-0-1 in bracket play), who increased

their goal-scoring total to 16.

Amai Shaheen and Dani Vargas both tallied goals and Kimberly Cox

and Julia Klein both contributed to the shutout in Saturday's

triumph.
