The General Richard Gridley Chapter of the National Society

Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at 11:30 a.m. at St.

GED Testing is offered at Glendale College Adult Community

Training Center, 1122 E. Garfield Ave. The test is scheduled for

this week. Both day and evening testing is available. The cost is

The Glendale Central Library invites children 6 and older for

stories and crafts from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at 222 E. Harvard St. For

Pastor Ken Simon will conduct a series of parenting classes

beginning with supper from 6:15 to 6:45 p.m. at the First Lutheran

Church, 1300 E. Colorado St. The class will be at 7 p.m. Child care

The Glendale Adventist Medical Center will hold a free lecture on

"Diagnosis and Treatment of Breast Cancer" from 6 to 9 p.m. The

lecture will be in the main auditorium, 1509 Wilson Terrace.

The Glendale Presbyterian Church will begin the fall schedule for

the "Alpha Program'' from 6:45 to 9:45 p.m. at 1332 Justin Ave. The

program is an introduction to the Christian faith. The weekly program

The Wailers Ski Club meets at 8 p.m. on the first and third

Wednesday of the month at Clancy's Crab Broiler, 219 N. Central Ave.

The group will discuss social events and ski trips.

"The Art of Charreria: A Mexican Tradition" is on display through

Oct. 20 at The Autry Museum of Western Heritage, 4700 Western

Heritage Way, Los Angeles. The exhibit celebrates the art and

culture of Mexico's national sport and its enduring legacy in the
