Students in Balboa Elementary School's Tunesmiths choral group are

doing their best to promote a harmonious winter season. The group's

50 children sang holiday songs during two student assemblies at

Balboa on Wednesday. An evening performance for the community is at 7

tonight in the auditorium at Balboa, 1844 Bel Aire Drive. The evening

performance is free and open to the public. Balboa's staff chorus

will sing, and local guitar hero Glenn Temple, a volunteer school

aide, will sing and play guitar at the performance as well. The

Winter Harmony show will include seasonal songs from Christmas,

Hanukkah and Kwanzaa traditions, choral instructor Jeannie Smith

said. The Tunesmiths will perform again in February at a Hoover High
